For shooters who need a competition 1911, the Range Officer from Springfield Armory offers finely tuned performance without breaking the bank. The Range Officer has the same quality forged national match frame and slide as the Trophy Match and TRP 1911s, with the same precision fit. This competition-grade pistol also features a 5" stainless steel, match-grade barrel and a GI style recoil system. The beavertail grip safety, extended lightweight trigger and flat mainspring housing allow the pistol to sit in your hand comfortably for long periods of time at the range. The Range Officer Operator features a black Parkerized finish on the forged carbon steel frame and slide. It is topped with a shielded, fiber optic front sight and low profile combat rear sight that won't snag on the draw. It has cross cannon double diamond cocobolo grips and includes two 9-round stainless steel magazines.
